Jean-Marie Guffen ruffled the feathers of Burgundian winemakers when he and his wife settled in the Maconnais region in 1976. Moving from their home in Belgium, they quickly set out to establish themselves as one of the most interesting producers of the region, creating wines from their 5.3 hectares to include separate cuves of Pouilly-Fuiss, Mcon-Pierreclos, Mcon Vergisson, and St-Vran. Their vineyards are low yielding and their selection is rigorous, allowing their work in the cellar to focus on these deeply concentrated and vibrant wines.

Coming from the Premier Cru vineyard of Mont de Milieu, this site is known for producing wines of intensity and grandeur. The wine hold an exceptional texture whilst balancing freshness and restraint.
