The term cuve signifies the first juice that comes out of the press, and this is what is used to create Varnier-Fanniere’s Grand Cru Champagne ‘Cuve St. Denis’. The grapes come froma single vineyard in the village of Avize called ‘Clos de Grand Pere’ with Chardonnay planted65 years ago.
The winehas a light golden colour with subtle green glints and the bubbles are fine and light.The nose provides a multitudeof aromas (white flowers, dried orchard fruit, which have developed over the course of 5 years in theircellars.
In the mouth, the wine shows good maturity, expressed byhints of roast hazelnut and briochewith a pronounced mineral finish.
