A masterful blend bringing together 40% young Ugni-Blanc (9 years), 30% ancient Grenache Blanc (67 years), and 30% Terret Bourret (11 years) from diverse terroirs across the Hrault valley!
The winemaking approach is wonderfully nuanced – Ugni-Blanc destemmed and macerated in sandstone jars for 92 days, Grenache also destemmed and macerated in tank for 33 days, while the Terret Bourret is directly pressed. All components aged 9 months in tank.
The nose shows a great complexity, displaying both fruit (plum, apricot, pear) and mineral stone notes. The palate is dense and full-bodied with impressive length, finishing with quince, gentle spices and chalky minerality. Excellent aging potential!
This is a seriously structured orange wine that could pair beautifully with richer dishes!
