The Bench 1775 Syrah was produced using fruit from our new vineyard in the Similkameen, the fruit was harvested in mid-October at 25 brix. Reaching full ripeness and retaining acidity; this Syrah spent 16 months in 40% new French oak. The remaining oak was two and three year old wood. Decant this wine and discover characters of dark berries, white pepper, blueberry, chocolate and herbs.
Pair this savory Syrah with summer bbqs, rack of lamb, vegan cassoulet, eggplant parmesan, spicy ma po tofu and hard cheeses like aged smoked goulda, stilton. And soft cheeses like gorgonzola and blue cheese.
