Summit is a dwarf hop variety that was bred by members of the American Dwarf Hop Association. It is the first dwarf hop to be bred for production in the United States and its currently the only hop being grown on low trellis in the Yakima Valley. Its aromas have been described as citrus, grapefruit and tangerine. It has been used for bittering and dry hopping.

Very high alpha levels make it an unparalleled bittering hop, but Summit is fully dual purpose although its flavor can be love it or leave it for some. For those who love it, Summit excels as early or late additions in hoppy American-style ales.

Flavor and Aroma:

• Heavy and big displaying signature citrus intensity (especially grapefruit & tangerine); can also have an earthy onion/garlic quality. Harvest conditions help determine the balance between citrus and onion/garlic character.
