Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA Clone All Grain Recipe
To quote Admiral David Farragut, “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!” Admiral Farragut served in the US Navy during the Civil War and obviously didn’t live long enough to try Sierra Nevada’s Torpedo Extra IPA, but we’re certain he would rather have tangled with a couple pints of this, than the tethered mines (torpedoes) in the Battle of Mobile Bay! This recipe is built on 2-row plus additions of two crystal and dextrine malts. It uses nearly four ounces of Magnum, Crystal and Citra hops. Guaranteed to blow you out of the water! O.G. 1.062, 55 IBU’s and is approx 6.4% ABV. We like one of the Chico ale yeasts for this brew! Cheers!
