Since 2003, Radford Dale has dedicated itself to crafting the distinctive Black Rock blend from old bush vines in South Africa’s Swartland region. Harvested early to preserve balance and natural acidity, these vines, unirrigated and deeply rooted in granite subsoil, defy the region’s drought conditions. Hand-harvested and co-fermented, the Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault, and Mourvdre grapes undergo a meticulous process, including 18 months of barrel maturation on primary lees.

The resulting wine showcases bright, prominent dark fruit notes, complemented by complex spice and fynbos aromas on the nose, leading to a palate of generous concentration and refined texture. Pair the Black Rock blend with dishes like smoked salmon filets, Moroccan roasted lamb, or Thai curry for a dining experience that’s truly elevated.
