2009 Pinot Noir A Rare Library Treasure

Cellaring wine is an art and an investment. Perfect storage conditions are essential, and we have devoted ourselves to creating an extensive wine library where our finest vintages age gracefully for many years.

The reward is immeasurable: the ethereal fragrance and multi-layered complexity of a 2009 Pinot Noir at its peak. Each bottle showcases the delicate aromas and elegance reminiscent of a Grand Cru, offering a truly priceless experience for the discerning connoisseur.

Secure this rare opportunity to taste the pinnacle of aged Pinot Noir.

Vintage 2009

After a perfect, long dry autumn we handpicked less than 900g/vine of wonderful, physiologically ripe grapes for a vibrant and alluring Pinot.

Hans’ Winemaking Comments

The grapes were given 6 days to cold-soak before a natural wild yeast initiation of the ferment. The wine spent 21 days on skins before being pressed and transferred into partly new French Allier barriques for malolactic fermentation and further aging for 18 months. Unfined and unfiltered.

Tasting Notes

Enticing flavours of cherries, strawberries, hibiscus and elderflower with earthy, cigar box undertones embraced by a beautiful acidity and soft tannins to tantalise your senses. A charming Burgundian-like Pinot with great minerality and a deep and long finish, this is an exceptionally complex, concentrated and elegant wine.
