A blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon and 49% Cabernet Franc, the deep garnet-purple colored 2019 LMV Salon bursts with bold scents of crme de cassis and blueberry preserves, plus underlying notes of wild sage, camphor and pencil shavings and a waft of raspberry leaves. Medium to full-bodied, the vibrant red berry palate is tightly knit with fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and fragrant.
92-95 POINTS, JEB DUNNUCK:
Moving to the barrel samples, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is a pretty, elegant wine that lacks the richness of the 2015 yet has perfumed notes of red and black currants, spring flowers, and spice. A blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Petit Verdot that was harvested early in September, its going to need short-term cellaring.
