Very pure blackcurrant – both coulis and cassis melding with spiced wood and a fabulous deep earthiness, meaty notes and middle eastern spice – think cloves, star anise and ras al hanout. The pallet is soft and rich, with gentle rounded tannins, dusted with cocoa and a bright strawberry and mulberry note on the finish too. Very long. Drink now to 2032.
