Cashmere is a versatile dual purpose hop that brings complex aromas of citrus and tropical fruit to the front.

Breeding/Development:United States. Cashmere was developed by Washington State University by crossing Cascade and Northern Brewer. It was first released in 2013.

Brewing Application:Cashmere really shines when used for aroma and flavor in hop-forward styles, or where the intensity of its exotic tropical notes will complement sour, fruited, or funky ales. Its respectable alpha content combined with low cohumulone lets it contribute smooth bitterness if used early in the boil.

Sensory:Complex and intensely fruity, with strong overtones of lemon, lime, peach, and melon. Secondary notes of coconut, lemongrass,and candycan show through in whirlpool or dry hop additions.

Houblon – BSG Cashmere

Le cashmere est un houblon polyvalent double usage qui fait ressortir des armes complexes d’agrumes et de fruits tropicaux. Complexe et intensment fruit, avec de fortes notes de citron, de lime, de pche et de melon. Des notes secondaires de noix de coco, de citronnelle et de bonbons peuvent transparatre dans les ajouts de tourbillon ou de houblon sec.
