This is the third release from Hiyu’ssolera of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. Its from a small parcel that was once part of the same historic farm as Hiyu. The piece of land is gently rolling and surrounded by Orchard on three sides with views of Mt. Hood. The current release includes wines from 2015 through 2021.

Its a wine that is many wines at once. In one sense its a wild, unfiltered orange wine, with all the textural and umami laden elements that accompany this. But it is also like a white burgundy. The notes of honey and lavender remind one of the Chablis and the rich texture and reductive characteristics of a very luxurious and long-lived Meursault or Corton Charlemagne.
