The fifth largest wine producing country in Europe (with production volume similar to Chile), Romania has been making wine for hundreds of years and offers unique varietals at an amazing value. Dragon Hills Pinot Noir has a lovely light red fruited nose that is really rather pretty. There’s gentle supporting notes from a little time in oak and a delightfully soft finish. Chilled a few degrees, this would be a stunning wine with crispy duck, lamb curries and also chili beef.
