Pure brewer’s corn sugar (dextrose monohydrate) has a variety of uses. It is primarily used to prime bottles, increase the alcohol level, and lighten the color of the beer.A variety of names, a multitude of uses. Dextrose Monohydrate, or commonly called Corn Sugar and referred to by brewers as Priming Sugar, is most commonly used for bottle priming. Add some dextrose in the boil to lighten the body, boost alcohol, and dry out big beers.

3/4 pound of corn sugar is equivalent to one pound DME which is equivalent to about .8 pounds LME
