This Christiania has a 65Nm Pendix eBike system installed, the Pendix eDrive is a very simple and powerful mid-drive ebike conversion kit. It is fully legal in Australia, silent in operation and very simple to fit with very few cables to worry about. With the updatedPendix.bike PRO Appyou can decide for yourself whether you want the full motor support or whether you need the maximum range for your tour. The Pendix system is deliberately simple to operate with a dial on the battery to choose which mode you want. More complex changes are made through the smartphone app. This new function called“Drive Profiles”and allows you to select a range of customised settings to suit your riding style(s). With a full bluetooth integration from the battery to thePendix.bike PRO Appyou can use your existing phone as a dashboard to display speed, battery health, range and even distance you’ve travelled.

First, a little practice

Riding with three wheels is differen toriding a standard bike you need to turn the box to turn the bike. It takes a few rides to get to know the bike and get used to its handling, but after that it will become as easy as riding any other bike and soon you will notice and appreciate all the benefits of the Christiania design, the tight turning circle, how easy it is to lift over steps, the riding position over pedals so less energy is needed to move forward. The stiffness and lightness of the aluminium frame also results in a lighter and easier ride. The angled large front wheels make the bike stable at speed and when cornering justlike a racecar.
