Champagne Collet with its elegant Art Deco packaging is evocative of the BelleEpoque era from when it was established. It is the oldest cooperative in Champagne, dating back to 1921. Since its inception, Collet has been creating Champagnes ofcharacter with authenticity, elegance and great finesse.
This is an exceptional blend of seven Grands Crus and 13 Premiers Crus. The Chardonnay, predominantly from the commune of Vertus, contributes freshness andcitrus notes. The Premier Cru of Villers-Marmery contributes the mineral dimension of thelimestone terroir along with smoky touches. The Pinot Noir imparts a richness and powerthanks to historic Crus such as Ay, Hautvillers and Avenay Val d’Or blended with Crusfrom Rilly la Montagne. The Pinot Meunier from Villedommange completes the blendimparting a roundness and suppleness.
“The NV Brut Art Deco blends 40% Chardonnay from Vertus and Villers-Marmery, 40% Pinot Noir from A, Hautvillers, Avenay-Val-dOr and Rilly-la-Montagne, with 20% Pinot Meunier from Ville-Dommange. Subtle smokiness settles on smooth notions of freshly baked wheat bread. The palate is equally understated but delivers fine mousse and real freshness on a smooth palate with classic balance and lovely bready resonance. Dosage is 10.1 grams per liter.” Vinous.com
