Carapils is a unique dextrine-style malt that adds body, foam retention, and beer stability with no affect on color or aroma. It is used to upgrade all types of beer, including light colored beers. The non-fermentables in Carapils malt are very useful in balancing the body and flavor of dark beers. A low usage rate of 1-5% of total grain bill will help achieve desired results. Carapils is also known as Carafoam.
