Although the labels boast solely Toby Bekkers name, these wines are made in collaboration with Tobys French-born wife Emmanuel. Epitomizing in many ways the notion of Old World meets New World, the Aussie-French couple have set up shop in McLaren Vale, South Australia to showcase premium, fine reds, made from Syrah and Grenache.

They consider McLaren Vale special, not only because they met while working at one of the regions oldest wineries, but because of the coastal influence, elevation, and warm climate, all of which contribute to an elegant, albeit still warm, style of wine they produce. The significance of the region is clear, as its boldly displayed on the label, larger than their name or the grape itself.

Their wines have garnered beautiful reviews from press and restaurants alike, and are made in small quantities, making them that much more difficult to find.

Toby is a viticulturist by trade and Emmanuel is a winemaker, although they diligently share both sides of the spectrum. They frequently return to Europe, working vintages, taking in new perspectives, and gaining further knowledge, as well as making wine in Chablis a wine which carries Emmanuels name on the label.
