From a tiny appellation on the coast of Provence, Domaine Tempier is perhaps more famous then the appellation itself! The grapes are picked from a cooler vineyard site to keep the white varietals fresh, and consists of a beautiful blend of Clairette (60%), Ugni Blanc (30%) with the remainder being Rolle, Bourboulenc, and Marsanne. This wine is capable of ageing and becomes more honeyed as time goes on but now is elegant, fresh and bursting with citrus and ripe fuzzy peaches.

Domaine Tempier’s reputation is arguably more well known than the Bandol appellation itself. The estate was founded back in the 1940s by Lucie Tempiers and Lucien Peyraud who made it their mission to put Bandol on the map for age worthy wines that could compete with the top wines of the Rhone and Bordeaux, celebrating the deep, rich varietal of Mouvedre which Bandol is famous for. Under the direction of Daniel Ravier since 1999 the wines are getting better and better and are a must have for the collector.
