Its hard to talk about Xavier Ausas without talking about his former career working at Vega Sicilia for 25 years. Since going out on his own in 2015, he is producing a smaller-scale of wine with a quality that reflects his inherent and unquestionable understanding of the Ribera del Duero.

Within a year of starting his own label, Interpretacion was created from old-vine Tinto Fino parcels. A gentler approach to the regions standard dowsing of new oak means a more nuanced and elegant expression yet with a force of power and concentration to follow.
