The man behind the Vanguardist label, Michael Corbett, hails from New Zealand and has set up shop in McLaren Vale as one of Australias up and coming young producers. Sourcing fruit from some of the best vineyards across Australia, his purpose is to create wines of great character and personality – a manoeuvre to push out the overly commercialised wines of the region.

The Mourvdre is sourced from Yangarra – arguably one of the best vineyards in the Vale and now both organic and Biodynamic certified.
