The Tsunuki Distillery is in the south of Japan where the climate leans hot and humid, especially compared to that of Marss Komagatake Distillery high in the Japanese Alps. The whisky of Tsunuki is full of rich fruit and bass notesperfect pairings for a slightly higher level of peat. This years release of single malt, which year over year best represents the distillerys house style, is particularly fruity in multiple dimensions, displaying everything from citrus oil to stewed fruit, with a smokiness that will appeal to fans of peated Highland Scotches.
