This carboy thermowell is used to check it the temperature on the beer inside the carboy. It is useful during the start of fermentation when the lag between ambient temperature in the refrigerator and actual temperature in the carboy can vary greatly. With a digital controller beer and wine can kept within one degree of the set point.

This is designed to fit 3, 5, 6 or 6.5 gallon glass carboys, or any other similarly sized opening hole, the unit comes with an 15″ stainless steel thermowell with a 1/4″ID and a #6 stopper. It can be use in refrigerator for exact cooling temps, or use it with a brew belt.

Note: Not compatible with the analog temperature controller, PET carboys or Better Bottles.
