“I am an artist/activist. For more than 45 years the primary focus of my work has been directed toward addressing social/political issues of the day. Our current social/political climate offers much to fuel my creative efforts in this regard. It seems in some regards, the more things change, the more they remain the same. These pieces, The plea and Miscarriage of justice are just as relevant today as when I first painted them many years ago!
The saying is, it takes a village to raise a child, Grooming the future speaks to the importance of older generations grooming i.e. preparing our young people to meet the challenges of life.
This includes the protection and nurture of family, community and grandmas hands.
These have always been a source of strength and security in our culture.”
