Black Clay Cabernet Sauvignon is a bold and expressive wine born from the distinctive black clay soils of the Barossa Valleysoils the winemakers have long identified by their unmistakable character in blind tastings. This 2023 vintage, shaped by an exceptional growing season with ample winter rains, a warm, dry summer, and mild ripening conditions, showcases the full potential of this unique terroir. Deep crimson-purple in colour, it opens with rich aromas of plum, mulberry, fruitcake spice, and a touch of black olive tapenade. The palate is plush and layered, offering dark cherry and ripe plum wrapped in silky notes of milk chocolate and coffee bean, all carried by a fine structure and lingering finish. This is a wine of depth, balance, and undeniable sense of place.
