Tasting Notes

Cabernet Sauvignon, the international king of red wine. Clare Valley makes strong and bold, powerful earthy Cabernets. This 2018 Cabernet is no exception. Typical of the variety this wine presents with dark cherry and chocolate with hints of licorice and cassis, with cedary overtones from French oak.

The palate is loaded with dark fruits, blackcurrant, chocolate and a hint of eucalyptus. Its forward fruit is nicely balanced by fine powdery tannin on the finish – a beautifully balanced and not overpowering wine with ripe flavours. A Cabernet true to region and variety that will reward extra time in the bottle and cellar for a further 5 years.
