This Cabernet Merlot shows well defined varietal characters of ripe dark cherries, plum and black currant mixed with hints of toasty oak. The palate is soft yet full-bodied with ripe flavours of plum, black currant and berry and great length of flavour.
In the vineyard a warm, dry summer provided a clean and disease free vintage with great ripening conditions across all regions. No significant rain fell during the ripening period and despite some hot days, extended heat waves through the growing season has given all the 2019 reds and abundance of ripe fruit characters.

The Winery is located in the New South Wales regional township of Yenda which has a population ofaround 1,600 people and is 580km south west ofSydney and 500km North West of Melbourne.
The Winery site itself was established in 1945 and it has close ties with the development of the Riverina as a major Australian viticultural area. The wineryhas the capacity to crush and bottle approximately 20,000 tonnes annually and has a storage capacity of 14 million litres.
