Moulin aux Moines’ Pommard 1er Cru les Pezerolles is one of the jewels of the domaine (along with the monopole Clos Orgelot). This high mid-slope vineyard is owned by only a few families (de Montille being one of them( and the parcel owned by Moulin aux Moines was planted in 1957. East-facing, with clay-limestone soils, this wine has an intense nose, with dark fruit, spice and earth notes. It is certainly the most intense and complex of the wines made by the domaine.
