The Grenache component from the Spirit Rock Block at the highest point of Alder Springs Vineyard brings high-toned fruit wild aromatics and spice for days. The old-vine Mourvedre (planted in 1881) from the Bedrock Vineyard in Sonoma Valley holds down the baseline with exotic flavors of black fruits, white flowers, tree bark and wild honey.

  The 2019 Vicar is a fabulous introduction to this range. It offers tons of energy as well as depth. Succulent red cherry, plum, cedar, tobacco, leather and incense open first, followed by a range of earthy and savory undertones that add nuance. The 2019 is beautifully done.
