The Granbussiacomesfrom the best vineyards in the Bussia Cru of Monforte d’Alba, the valued heart of the Barolo. Aged for thirty months in oak casks and refined in bottle for another six years, the Granbussiarepresents the purest and most virtuous essence of three different historical Bussia cru: the Romirasco, Cicala, Colonnello vineyardsand is only produced when Aldo’s son Giacomo feels the vintage expresses the essence of the wine.
99 POINTS, JAMES SUCKLING
Glorious aromas of roses and other flowers with blackberries and ripe plums. Spectacular. Perfection. Full-bodied, firm and chewy with polished and tight tannins. Slightly dusty. Great length and beauty. Very, very persistent on the palate. Needs another two or three years to soften, but already a classic.
