2010 Library Pinot Noir A Decade of Perfection
The 2010 Library Pinot Noir is the result of over a decade of meticulous cellaring in ideal conditions. This vintage showcases the unparalleled elegance of an aged Pinot Noir, with layers of refined flavours and an ethereal bouquet that reflects its time-honoured journey. Delicate aromas, reminiscent of a fine Grand Cru, intertwine with the wines velvety texture and remarkable depth, offering an experience that transcends time. A rare and limited treasure from our wine library, this bottle is a testament to the art of patience and craftsmanship.
2010 produced an abundance of fruit with great backbone of acidity and tannins. After a perfect, long dry autumn we handpicked less than 900g/vine of wonderful, physiologically ripe grapes for a vibrant and alluring Pinot.
The grapes were given four days to cold-soak before a natural wild yeast initiation of the ferment. The wine spent 24 days on skins before being pressed and transferred into 20% new French Allier barriques for malolactic fermentation and further aging for 20 months. Unfined & unfiltered to retain the great flavours. Natural sediments may show.
An exceptional rich ruby red wine of outstanding depth and structure. Fresh, vibrant and alluring it displays notes of fresh raspberries, black cherries and dark plums with a smoky undertone held together with ripe tannins and fine acidity and minerality. This elegant stunner will age beautifully over the next 10+ years.
