Hand picked and hand sorted from reduced crop after several frosts. Vidal is a variety that ripens late and has thick skins, which helps it withstand the cold weather. Fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks.

Appearance:Bright yellow golden colour.

Nose: Intense aromas of honey, yellow pear, and vanilla, followed by peach, grilled pineapple, and hints of lychee and banana.

Palate: Full of passionfruit, apricot compote, and peach pie with hints of sweet honey flavours. The sweetness is well pronounced, while the refreshing lemon acidity relieves the sugar almost instantly. Rich and luscious without being too cloying.

Food pairings: Try it with apricot macaroons, Belgian waffles, or fruit crepes. This would be perfect with rich dishes like four cheese terrine and could complement lightly sweetened panna cotta. Pair with a nutty cheese, such as Comte. Goes perfectly with soft cheeses.
