Vinification: Harvested from the Estate Vineyard in Late September, destemmed and left in tank to ferment on the skins to provide optimal colour extraction. After fermentation the wine did not see any oak or additives before being filtered and sweetened slightly and bottled

Tasting notes: Classic Baco Noir aromas of black cherry, saddle leather and raspberry cordial. On the palate, the wines rich dark fruit notes (black currant, cherry, plum) are complimented by refreshing acidity, with an earthy backbone adding weight and complexity, creating a well-balanced, casual, light-bodied red.

Serving suggestions: Serve with casual, flavourful, punchy fare like smoked cheeses; seared duck or other game meat, especially with fruit condiments; prosciutto, salami, and other cured meats; country ham; rustic Italian dishes.
