wet walnuts and whipped cream / oyster cult / timeless throne
There are twodistinctivefeatures of Jerezthis wine imparts:albariza(chalk) and flor. There are three distinct types of albariza in the Miraflores vineyardLentejuelas,Lustrillo, andTosca Cerrada, all important in building the structure and profile of this wine. The flor forms naturally and imparts a subtle, golden, nutty top note. This is complemented withsteely lemongrass and ripping acidity. The delicate but firm through-line ofbrinychalkbrings it together into a wine of lively tension and immense beauty. Even though 2022 was a hot vintage with lower yields, Ramiro has made a wine as finessed as Chablis and as unique as Jura Savagnin. What more could any wine lover ask for?
