The grapes for La Legend de Beauvert are grown primarily on the hillsides and terraces in the village of St. Victor la Coste where the soil is composed of limestone and river rocks. In comparison to the more austere wines from the left bank of the Rhne, wines from this area are known for their softness, body, and aromatic profile. Bastide de Beauvert is a clean and pretty expression of Grenache and Syrah (70/30). A deep garnet red with aromas of cherry, currant and strawberry. Dry and medium-bodied with hints of black pepper, cinnamon and licorice, the wine finishes smooth with well-rounded tannins. Enjoy with meats, grilled vegetables and robust cheeses.
