Los Arrez Lagares is the perfect mix between tradition and modernity. Lagares has always been a reference to quality since the start of our winery. It was the first big wine that my grandfather started along with my father and now continues with myself. We want to reflect, in this wine, our winerys history and great work since 1950. Says Toni Arrez, current winemaker and grandson of the winerys founder.

Los Arrez Lagares is a blend of 60% Monastrell and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. The stony limestone soils situated on the sunny side of Capurutxo, the mountain that dominates the region, give this wine its bold yet balanced uniqueness. The color is an intense ruby red with a bouquet of ripe blackberries, with slight balsamic and toasted notes which remind one of licorice and coffee. The palate is full and at the same time fresh, strong and balanced. Long persistence leaves the drinker with a nice reminder of fruit and toasted flavors, imparted by the 12 months of aging in American and French oak barrels. We suggest pairing with rice and meat dishes, and pastas.
