Packed with aromas of apricot and peach, with light floral notes and a hint of ginger. Impressive texture, and excellent freshness. A glass of this delicious wine early evening makes the cares of the day fall away. It’s excellent with slightly spicy good, and with smoked trout and salmon, which is so hard to pair with wine. I kept a bottle on the go for well over a week, and it was pretty much as good on day seven as day one, almost concentrating the peach and apricot element.

Since 1997, the estate has been owned and run by Batrice and Christophe Muret and on their watch quality, rather than quantity, has been the focus. With a strong focus on organic farming and environmentally sustainable practices, the Murets have struck an admirable balance between. Its one of the hardest things in the wine profession to find is very good inexpensive juice, particularly from Europe. But Domaine de Castelnau/Laurence de Veyrac proves that it is possible. We love their infectious passion.
