Effortless exuberance; fruit-propelled quaffability! Ripe, fully-realised blueberries and mulberries, buoyed by a caressingly juicy core, framed and neatened by a velvety grip of slightly puckering structural edges. Purity of fruit takes precedence here, enveloping the palate and balancing out its own ripeness with a welcome streak of freshness. Nevertheless, there’s a welcome hint of bergamot orange and reverberating Grenache-y nutmeg that gently counteracts the flowing weight of the Syrah. Quietly classical fun. Gosh this is tasty!

ThisCorbiresis made at one of Frances more interesting cooperatives, the Celliers des Demoiselles, from their best sites just below the old chteau. Cellierdes Demoiselles was established by a group of women who, in order to ensure that viticulture and terroir didnt suffer during WW1,took over the reins of the local co-opafter all the men had left for the front in 1914.At the time, it was unheard of for women to make wine, let alone to be tending vineyards! Since then, the estate and its vineyards has passed down generationby generation.
