Solmates Australia was born in Sydney, Australia from a simple desire for sustainable sun protection. Founders Caroline and Kelly hated how many plastic sunscreen bottles the family was using; containers of various sizes lying around in bags, bathrooms and cars. They tried minimising their footprint by buying sunscreen in bulk, but this left them lugging big bottles of sunscreen around.

There had to be a better way. So together they decided to create their very own Solmate. A convenient, cute, refillable sunscreen applicator that is sustainably made and beautifully designed. From a few drawings sketched out at the kitchen table, two years on and countless design refinements later Solmates was born.
